OHK

One thing to say about tonight's dinner: CU coffee corner is actually better than Cafe de Coral. Okay there will be about 3 months away from CU to do Aida.

Got the score and I saw myself a T2 in the signing sheet. Comparing lateness, OHK people are no better than former choruses. Someone unexpected shown up... Well.

Jimmy Chan was absent, the conductor today is a look-so-familiar but I don't know who. He coached slowly but yet we completed quite some pages. During the rest talked a bit with the only friend David the bass; he would not go to Fu Shan. Another older guy approached me for a little chat (it turned out he is an insurance guy).

Monday (after weekend) is often better and G is no problem today, only that the instrument became tiring after staying there long. Those nearby are no big voices, so I can sing as much I want. Verdi is no Mahler, this work is easier but still very nice to sing, except that my sight reading is sooooo bad. The lone boy near me must be thinking "this shameless guy yelled notes hell loud wrong." But I had Warren's guaranteed me that loudness would not matter, wahaha.

The un-Italian chorus sound came quite unexpected - I thought those who gone through plenty of Italian operas would know about difference of c/ch consonants.

Ended up early. Home is much nearer from HKCC...
