時間:Tue Nov 21 01:06:44 2006I just hope you'll like it. I don't know whether I'm in line with Albert regarding suggestions for your singing, and I have no implication in any sense (ha!), but it's always good to listen to something different...
These old old vocal recordings are really treasures, which one can hear the last traces of 19th Century singing, and they offer some very interesting insights. I think many sopranos then had very very sweet and charming voice in Lieder singing, and I think no singers today would process such quality, though they could be technically much more perfect.
Wish you many nice years ahead.
Have to agree! The angelic voice quality of a Nellie Melba could no longer be heard in last 50 years. Maybe Ljuba Welitsch would have the similar kind of silvery tone.
I am not sure if the popularity of such voices was actually due to the gramophone however, they may not reproduce sounds exactly.
Thanks for your wish.
